Bolney project,

The team and I here at Stepping Stone Landscapes have just started a very exciting project near the village of Bolney East Sussex.
Situated in a picturesque former farm, the clients asked to extend the current small and outdated patio with a retaining wall that can provide both the strength to hold back the garden behind whilst being aesthetically pleasing.
We went through the various options the client could have chosen for the construction of the wall such as brick, block and render, oak sleepers and gabions but they opted to use locally sourced Horsham sandstone to be in keeping with their surroundings.

Through years of experience, the team and I here at Stepping stone landscapes have become extremely proud of our ability to create a stone wall that appears to be a dry stone wall with no mortar between the stones but in fact is firmly bound together from behind and the end result of these walls are truly stunning compared to alternative types of walling.

We are currently on week two of the project and after some horrendous weather, we are ready to start laying the wall which is when the transformation begins!
